Discover Therapy was previously owned by Physical Therapist, Michelle Christie, and known as Christie Therapy Center, Inc. The center has been serving Lafayette, since 1986 and has since changed over the years from a primarily Speech and Learning Center to encompass the whole child. The center currently offers Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, in addition to Speech Therapy, in order to better meet the needs of our patients under one roof. In April 2018, Discover Therapy moved to a new location in the Oil Center of Lafayette.
Discover Therapy is owned by Physical Therapist, Kylie Carbo Stucker. Kylie graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans with a clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her clinical experience includes practice in a variety of settings, including private practice, school setting, acute care, aquatic therapy, home health, and inpatient rehabilitation. She has worked for several hospitals including Our Lady of Lourdes and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. She enjoys working with children and helping them experience the most out of life by tackling the physical disabilities that inhibit them.
